Everyone loves cheese cake. Here is a great recipe to make cheese cake bars. Give them a try for your next holiday dessert or anytime you are in a mood for some cheese cake. These are a great summer time treat.
1/3 Cup of softened butter or margarine
8 oz. bar of cream cheese at room temperature
1 cup of flour
1/2 cup of chopped nuts
1/4 cup of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
1 tablespoon of milk
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
Heat oven to 350
First you are going to mix up your crust mixture.
Cream butter and brown sugar together. Then add in your flour and nuts mix together. Set aside 1 cup of crumbs for you topping. Add the rest of you mixture to your pan 8x8x2 and press evenly. Bake for 12 - 15 minutes.
While your crust is baking blend your sugar and cream cheese until it is nice and smooth. Next add your egg, milk,vanilla and lemon juice beating it together well.
Spread onto the top of your crust. Sprinkle the rest of your crust mix on the top and bake for 25 minutes.
Once your cheese cake bars are cool, cut and refrigerate. Remove before serving and let them sit until the reach room temperature.
