Chiclets Gum History



Chiclets old time gum was invented by Frank Fleer and is now owned by Cadbury Adams. It was the first candy-coated gum on the market in the early 1900’s.

Peppermint Chiclets was the first flavor and the only flavor for a long time. It wasn’t until 1962 that fruit flavor became available. Tiny fruit Chiclets followed and is known best for the gum in the little envelope.

Over the years these gum has been sold from company to company, however this old time nostalgic gum is still being made today with the same recipe. The packaging has changed a little over the years but they have the same great flavor as they did 100 years ago.
