Each box has 12 packages of freshen up gum, 7 pieces per pack for a total of 84 individually wrapped pieces of gum.
Freshen Up Gum was the first gum to have a liquid center. This was first introduced in the mid 70's, but did not really become popular until the 80's. It is available in 4 flavors;

Freshen up was developed with adults in mind. The bubble gum flavor was added to attract the kids. Bubble gum is a big market for kids so Cadbury also wanted a flavor that would appeal to them.
Freshen up as been around for 30 years, yet it is somewhat a hard to find candy. The advertising slogan was " The Gum That Goes Squirt " . Once you bite into the gum you get a refreshing blast of flavored gel. Great for refreshing your breath, yet fun to eat.
