What is Christmas without a nativity scene ? This would be a perfect gift to make for a newly married couple . My grandmother made me a nativity scene many many years ago. The first pieces I received were the manger, Mary and Joseph and baby Jesus. For the next couple of years she would make me a new piece to go with it. I could not wait to see what I was going to get and I would rush home and put it with the rest of my set.
Every year my nativity scene is the first holiday decoration that goes up. My grandmother is no longer with us, but in spirit she is with us every Christmas. Just looking at it brings a smile to my face and gives me such fond memories.
