Turkish taffy is known best for it's SMACK IT, CRACK IT slogan. It was invented by Victor Bonomo who founded the Bonomo Company in Coney Island, New York, in 1897.

Bonomo Old Time Taffy

Bonomo Turkish Taffy is a favorite nostalgic candy from the 50's and 60's. When it first came out after World War II it was only 5 cents a bar and only available in Vanilla flavor. This taffy was like no other, it would just melt in your mouth and a bar would last forever. It was known for it's slogan smack it, crack it.

Due to the success of the Vanilla Taffy, soon they starting adding more flavors including; Chocolate, Banana and Strawberry.
