Wax Lips Candy Memories
I cannot express enough gratitude for the handling of this order. I was planning a very special birthday party for my sister, shortly after the passing of our Mother. I called because I could not find the particular candy I was looking for. I briefly explained the situation to Melody, who stayed on the phone while I completed my order. In my unfortunately typical fashion, I was late placing this order so had to ship the items to my sisters instead of my home (or so I thought). Much to my surprise, my order arrived the NEXT DAY at MY HOUSE, so that I was able to wrap and present the items as I wanted. In addition, Melody included another surprise with a a message of her own, which made an impact on me and my sisters. Please accept our sincere gratitude for your understanding and empathy with this situation, as well as helping us have fun. Plus, the candy was/is wonderful -- we are still enjoying it! Everytime I see wax lips I have to sit back and laugh. When I was in grade school we had a teacher who always wore bright red lipstick and lots of it.
One day all us kids got together and decided on Friday I think it was, that we were all going to come to school with some wax lips.
So after recess we all came in and took our seats, when our teacher told us to get our math book out we all opened our desk and not only got our math book out, but we all put on our wax lips.
You should have seen the look on her face when she turned around, however she did not find it as funny as the rest of us did. We all had a write a 500 word essay on being kind to others and how it was rude to make fun of others.
To this day I still have to laugh about it everytime I see the red wax lips, however I never did tell my children this story as if they pulled the red wax lips trick, they would also be in big trouble.

I USED TO WALK PAST THE CANDY ON MY WAY TO
SCHOOL EVERY MORNING. MOM WOULD GIVE ME MONEY FOR LUNCH BACK THEN YOU NEVER PAID TOO
MUCH IN THE 50S FOR YOUR SCHOOL LUNCH. I WOULD TAKE WHAT WAS LEFT OVER FROM THE LUNCH FEE AND STOP BY THE CANDY STORE ON MY WAY HOME.
I COULDN'T WAIT TIL IT WAS TIME TO GO HOME. I ALWAYS GOT PENNY CANDY FOR MY TREAT.
MY FAVORITE CANDY WAS THE HALLOWEEN PEEPS AND THE WAX LIPS.
OH HOW I STILL LOVE OLD FASHION CANDY TODAY.
